Darrick McIntosh (Marin College) signs with CSUEB

Cal State East Bay's new head men's basketball coach Gus Argenal has announced the signing of Darrick McIntosh to a National Letter of Intent for the 2013-14 season. Paris Davis back in the Bay Area

Numerous sources report that Paris Davis, the MVP of the OAL in 2011-12, is back in the Bay Area and will be attending Chabot College as a member of the men's basketball team for the upcoming season.  Paris Davis averaged 21.8 points and 8.3 rebounds his senior year at Skyline High School in Oakland.  Last year he left the area to attend Fresno City College but did not finish the season.

St. Joseph-Notre Dame of Alameda’s Temidayo Yussuf & Archbishop Riordan point guard Jiday Ugbaja have made the Team Pan Africa team for the Nike Global Challenge July 17-21 in Washington, D.C.

Jumpsquad AAU & Chabot College Basketball Team Up


The NorCal Jump Squad has teamed up with the Chabot College Men's Basketball program to host the first annual Chabot Elite Sixteen Tournament on July 6th & 7th. The tournament will be in the main gym at Chabot College.  More information go to the Jumpsquad website here

Colin Gruber of Cabrillo College signs to UC Riverside (Division 1)

-Colin Gruber of Cabrillo College has accepted a full scholarship to UC Riverside. The Sentinel's Athlete of the Year in 2011, Gruber signed scholarship papers last month to play at UC Riverside of the Big West Conference in the fall. A 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard who landed at Cabrillo a year ago after transferring from Northern Arizona University, Gruber led the Seahawks to their third straight Coast Conference South championship last season.

He earned the conference's Most Valuable Player award in the process when he averaged 15.1 points and 8.6 rebounds in league games.

Aaron Cameron & Daiveon Leverett commit to Cosumnes River College

Kevin McCarthy reports that Aaron Cameron and Daiveon Leverett have committed to Cosumnes River College in Elk Grove, Ca.  Aaron Cameron is a 6'1" PG from Sacramento High.  Daiveon Leverett is an athletic 6'8" Forward from Weston Ranch High School in Stockton, California.
